Harry Vandy

Owning, leasing and selling commercial property as a business owner and later developing residential section subdivisions has provided Harry with the ability to empathise with property owners that grapple with the systems that exist in Rotorua.

Prior to entering the Real Estate profession, Harry, when selling his own business, encountered difficulty finding an agent that displayed empathy with business owners and decided to market and sell them himself. That led to him deciding to offer his services to other business owners and the commencement of a new career.

In 1989, Harry was appointed to the then Motor Vehicle Dealers Licensing Board by the Minister of Justice. After the initial three year term, he was re-appointed for a three further terms. The activities of the Board involved a judicial function and assessing business proposals for businesses ranging in size up to major international companies. The business experience gained from this was invaluable.

Rotorua provides an ideal environment and location for a diverse range of business including tourism, transport, forestry and farming. These industries together with the many different types of support businesses and professions find that Rotorua provides them with a fertile environment Harry has in depth knowledge on many of these industries along with the intricacies of Maori owned and leased land. This is useful knowledge that isn’t easily gained. Harry’s involvement with a wide range of businesses, business owners, accountants and lawyers, is an asset that can be utulised by vendors and buyers alike.
